Who doesn’t want fried chicken, LOL! This is one of my sons’ favorite foods, next to Salmon fish. ;) And today because of my busyness at home, (going back and forth doing multi-tasking job, hehe) I need to cook fast and that Miguel would love to eat… Ok, so it was 11am and when I checked our fridge I saw chicken drumsticks that we bought yesterday at supermarket. And *ding*, I’ll cook fried chicken, hehe…

Here’s the way I do it, a Filipino style fried chicken…

Ingredients:
1 lbs. chicken, cut into serving pieces
flour for dredging
oil for frying

Marinade:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
juice of 1 lemon
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
Blend marinade well and combine with the chicken pieces. It’s best to marinate for 4 hours in the refrigerator. (I do this very quickly, i think 30minutes only, hehe) … Stir meat occasionally to distribute marinade evenly.

Roll chicken pieces in flour. My technique was to put the flour on a zip loc bag or any small food plastic. Put chicken one at a time and shake.

In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, pan-fry chicken pieces in a little oil for 8-10 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and browned on both sides. Drain on paper towel. Serve immediately.

Wow! Looks yummy! TFS, Caryl! Would love to try this version. Ako naman, I marinate with patis lang, around 30 minutes. Mas malasa kasi kapag patis ang gamit ko. Pati sa porkchops, ganun din. Hwag lang gaanong matagal at masyadong maalat na. I add pepper din pero kokonti lang for the kiddo.
