Starbucks treat

It was Saturday and my son has an extra-curricular activity to attend at school… after I sent him to his school bus, I asked the husband if we could have breakfast outside and he treated me at the Starbucks… Yeah this seldom happens and I love that early morning bonding with the husband.

He personally picked that spinach pie, which tasted really great. As he was paying our bill, I noticed the cashier’s receipt printer that’s different from other stores that I have visited. So nice and very unique…

Well, hopefully we could have another moment like this soon….

bakeshop biz

When the husband asked me what business we can put up once we decided to stay for good in Manila, I told him I really wanted to have a bake shop… Yeah, cupcakes, cakes and any sweet goodness haha… including baking products and all items or accessories needed for baking. (we have to learn using that barcode scanner if we have these stuff, eh!, hehe)…. Seriously, my passion in baking made me think of doing it in business someday. Though I know there are more things I need to learn, I’m willing to the steps one at a time… I believe that a successful business is something that you are really interested of otherwise it will fail. And that baking stuff is really close to my heart. I hope I can make it someday.

baking with a lil boy

Last night though late I still managed to bake Almond Chews slice. I was thinking that this slice would be our goody treat for parents on my son’s birthday soon. Usually I bake when I’m alone as it’s easy to move but last night I have the little boy at my side that wanted to share his help like holding the mixer. If only we have a bigger kitchen with Kitchen Island (thinking of my dream kitchen here with an addition of a cedar exterior shutters on my kitchen window) it could have been easy for the two of us and I can let him join me. But I’m afraid he might fall down from where he was standing and everything will be mess up, hehehe… however just to give in with his request, I let him hold the mixer towards the last mix of the batter. … Well, the slice baked really great and though not totally cool, we ate already half of it…
