Thomas the tank engine cupcake
I’m supposed to check and search information on steel buildings but I was carried away when my friend send me a YM message and showed me this very cute Thomas, the tank engine cupcakes…

Aren’t they’re cuties…
I was really impressed when I saw these cute little train cupcakes. The train on top was really edible and piped one at a time. I wonder how long one train can be finished…
Amazing indeed. I remember my son loves Thomas train when he was 3 – 4 years old. And I’m sure when he see this, he will remember his old addiction with Thomas, the tank engine..

A new Kitchen style
I love the kitchen at my parent’s house because of its big space. However, it needs renovation and a little fixing. I suggested to take out all unnecessary things and leave only the stuff that will be using. So again for the nth time, I browsed different kitchen styles and as expected I found a lot, hahaha…
One that attracted me was this style:

This design is very close to what I have in mind. There are more cabinets for the kitchenware, which is very ideal since we have to store a lot of things.
Well, we need to scout for cheaper materials for this renovation. I’m checking Baldwin hardware if there some sale and other hardware store for a discounted price. The renovation might take a little while but I’m sure it will turn out nice.
For a healthier eyes
Eye check-up was one of the plans of the husband during his short visit to Manila three weeks ago. And after seeing an ophthalmologist, he was advised to wear reading eyeglasses. So we scout on various eyewear shop and found different types even a bifocal safety glasses, which I’m seeing the first time. And after searching for a nice eyeglass, he was able to get one for himself. This eye check-up prompted me to search for healthy foods that is best for the eyes. I’m sure we have included this with our daily food but being aware is important so we know we’re taking the right and healthy meal.
The following are the four most powerful eye foods:

(1) Berries
These contain natural plan chemicals called flavonoids that paly an important part in the protection of the most sensitive areas of the eye.
(2) Tuna
Tuna and other oily fish, such as salmon and mackerel, are rich in omega-3 which research has shown to protect the macula lutea – the area of the eye effected by macular degeneration.

(3) Sweet Potato
Sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene) which is essential for healthy eyes.
(4) Carrots
Carrots contain high levels of vitamin A (one medium sized carrot provides up to ten times the RDA) which protects the eyes and enables them to function effectively.
The addition of the above foods into our diet are beneficial to our eyesight both in short and long term. So as much as possible let’s try to include on our daily food serving for a healthier and longer eyesight.
Dinner at Sentro
It was our first day in Manila when we had dinner with my previous colleagues at Sentro Restaurant, Greenbelt. Since we arrived early at Makati, we tour around the mall first doing a little shopping. Yet still early for the meeting time, we stayed at the bookstore and my sister was looking for books about binoculars. Then went to the restaurant few minutes before the time…. It’s nice to see my former colleagues again and we had fun chatting and eating yummy food at Sentro… Here some of the foods we ordered:

Sinigang na corned beef was their specialty but forgot to take photo… hahaha….
Sentro Restaurant located the 2nd floor of Greenbelt 3… if you haven’t tried their food yet, then it’s time to visit the place. I’m sure you will love it.
Go for gold
I have read this interesting tip from investment article…. If you are one of practical investors and would want to diversify your portfolio then consider to buy gold bullion as one of your precious metal that greatly protect your wealth. As I have read in many articles, gold coin is one portfolio item that can serve in all season and under most circumstances. That’s the best approach if you want to protect yourself against financial uncertainties such as stock market weakness. Hence the real reason to diversify is that you don’t want your overall wealth to be compromised by economic dangers and uncertainties. In other words, no timing as to when you buy. As soon as you believe you need to own gold then that’s the right time to buy.
Banana-Q
One fun thing to do when you’re on vacation is to eat most of the time, right? So I think it’s important to include on our packing list any best weight loss pills to combat those fats and have a good time pigging out, hahaha….
Anyway, one of the foods I miss eating in Manila is the Banana-Q. It is basically a deep saging saba (Cardava Bananas) coated with caramelized sugar and put in bamboo skewer, which you can see on the photo below…

And you guess it right that’s our snack for the last few days…
I’m glad my son likes it and that’s why we have that food every afternoon.
Chocolate salted caramel cupcake
I definitely missed it…. baking that is! And the more I miss it when I saw this photo of chocolate salted caramel cupcake…

Oh my what a yummy sweet delight!
I stayed late tonight as I have some documents to check regarding our life insurance and before hitting the sack I decided to do some net browsing (good thing I got a nice connection at this time) and saw the photo above. Just then I felt I have missed a big part of my passion and yes that’s baking…
And isn’t this cute to have those ribbons?

I will definitely try this.

Prenatal diet
For those mommies to be, aside from taking prenatalvitamins, it is also important to packed your diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, which is not only good for your health but also lower baby’s chances of certain allergies.

According to researchers, moms who ate most of the green and yellow vegetables, citrus fruits and also vegetables and fruits rich in beta carotene were the least likely to have a baby who developed eczema… Likewise, those moms whose diet includes high in dark, leafy green vegetables and other veggies rich in vitamin E were less likely to have a baby who developed wheezing.
In other words, beta carotene and vitamin E are two of many vegetable and fruit antioxidant known to benefit overall health.
Okonomiyaki with cheese
Cheese is one of my favorite foods and it’s the most common food eaten today. I usually use it on a variety of foods such as pasta, sandwiches and many more… I read on one article that cheese can cause a lot of problems for the acne sufferer so I tried to lessen that however, last weekend when we have our dinner at Times Square I can’t resists this yummy cheesy food… ![]()

That’s Okonomiyaki with cheese… yummy!
It’s my first time to try this food with cheese and indeed was great. The cheese on top melt already and it’s mixed with the noodles so the more it was tasty. Well never mind with the acne for the meantime anyway a lot of acne cleanser available, haha…
So the next time you stop at any Japanese restaurant try to look for this and I’m sure you gonna love it!
Dinner at Gerry’s Grill
Because I’m on a vacation right now, I think I have to start looking for diet pills that really work because I know I will be eating a lot during this time.
In fact we have dinner with friends for the last couple of days and eat a lot… and as far as I’m concerned I didn’t thought of dieting because I missed all foods here in Manila.
Last night we have dinner with hubby’s friends at Gerry’s Grill and we have this Crispy Pata…

oh so good! And of course the one I missed so much is the sisig…

Sorry, almost done when I thought of taking a photo haha…
And I’m sure for the coming days we’ll still be eating a lot….
goodluck to my diet, haha.
