PostHeaderIcon Gold inspired cake and cupcakes

Lately we can see different themed cakes at the bakeshop and during birthday parties. Mostly the cake is inspired by the theme of the party or whatever is the favorite of the birthday celebrant. Today I’ve searched a very interesting cake… a gold bullion coin inspired cake and cupcakes… take a look:

This one is a four-tier Vienna gold coin cake. As you can see it is covered with gold coins and gold leaf.

I think this kind of cake is a nice idea for a wedding. It’s like an inspiration for the new couple to start saving and have interest to invest on gold, which is regarded to be a precious asset that has a timeless value. Everything else will fall but not the value of gold that’s why it’s one of the best investments you can think of.

And next is a pot of gold cupcakes…

The cupcake looks simple but with the additional touch of colorful icing and the gold coin, that made it really nice and cute… Well these cupcakes inspired me to bake for the holidays. Such a nice gift for friends and relatives… ;)

I’m sure there are more pretty gold coin inspired cake out there… I guess it’s a nice idea for your next birthday… giving you more gold inspiration. :D

PostHeaderIcon Lightning McQueen cake

As I was sorting out photos of my son for this year, I browsed again his 6th birthday party held last March. It was one of his happy birthdays since all his classmates and friends went to the party. Aside from that, he was also delighted because the Lightning McQueen cake that he requested has been granted… here’s the photo of the cake:

It was totally cute and yummy indeed. I love the taste not too sweet. The guests were also satisfied with it. In fact, there was one mommy who asked me where we ordered it. :)

Anyway, for his 7th birthday that is 7 months to go he’s telling me he wanted the toy story theme… I’m not so sure about it but I hope I could grant his request… :)

PostHeaderIcon iPhone cake

Almost everyone wanted to have the iPhone as it has the best features so far but I think it doesn’t have the sweetness as this iPhone cake has…. :)

Just by looking, you can tell it is sweeter than the apple, haha… great! I wonder if iphone warranty comes with this cake, hehe…. perfect match to complete the sweetness… Well, I stumbled this while browsing pretty cakes on the Internet. And since iPhone is the latest craze, doing a theme cake like this is just very timely. Also, this makes a great birthday cake for those who love gadgets or a big fan of apple products… (Oh, I can think of the husband here, hehe…. )….

To those who are planning a birthday themed cake, this is truly perfect!

Carrot Cake

A perfect match to my coffee. Our snack yesterday and today, LOL!

The residue from the carrot juice that the husband made last Wednesday prompted me to bake carrot cake. Well, he kept on bugging me to bake one since last week. So I baked this and sooooo good compared to my carrot cupcake. :) I’m proud of this one and I can truly say it’s really yummy, hahaha! The husband loves it. It’s not too sweet. And the carrots were perfectly mixed. Now I realized it’s good to use the one extracted from the juicer. I will definitely bake this one again and I will try the one with cream cheese topping… yezzz!

PostHeaderIcon Pecan Brownies

Though one of my agendas last weekend was to bake, it’s not my plan of doing this Pecan Brownies. :) I’m eyeing to bake a Blueberry slice since my blueberries will expire soon. But I’m lacking one of the ingredients, which I couldn’t find in the nearby supermarket. I’m sure it has on the other store but I need to commute to get to that store, which is quite far. Then the thought of baking brownies came up when I saw some Pecan nuts on the cabinet. It made me smile and then I said to the husband, I’m going to use this and bake brownies…
