Low Carbs Diet
With proper healthy diet and regular exercise I’m sure there’s one of these sexy costumes that will fit on me, hahaha… Well, one of the things I’ve learned from reading various tips on dieting is to inherit the low carbs diet. If you have read about the South Beach Diet, this is what they implement in most of their foods. Yes I have tried this type of diet however I didn’t make it for the Phase 1. Why? I dived in without planning and I thought I could just do it like that. So on my 3rd day of Phase 1 I felt very weak and experience the most painful headache I ever had.
So I stop and the husband said I should have prepared the list of meals ahead and ready all the ingredients needed. Well at least I have tried and I know now what approach to do.
Ok back to low carbs diet, basically carbohydrates are an important part of any healthy diet. If eaten on a regular basis, carbs do not lead to weight gain, UNLESS they are eaten to excess. Just as what I always read, “eating too much of anything and not burning it off through physical activity will lead to weight gain.” Also, whatever we add to the carbohydrates bumps up the calories. For example, the margarine or butter we put on the bread and the cream or cheese sauces we add to pasta. So if we need to lose weight, we cut down on these added fats but NOT the carbs.
That’s mainly the thing about the carbohydrates however there’s still a lot of interesting facts about carbohydrates and dieting. And it’s really good to know the different information and the correct approach for a healthy diet.
