Chocolate French Toast
Let’s start our year sweet and yummy with this chocolate French toast….

This morning before checking on some recipes, I cannot resists but checked the link on my email that lead to an online store having huge discounts on their items. Looks like there was an extended holiday as they’re still on sale up to now… after few minutes of browsing I find myself putting couple of items on wish list… but before ending it to a cart, I go back to my recipe search as I knew I can easily be tempted on that, hahaha!
So now as my first post of the year, I wanted to make it sweet for all… and this Chocolate French toast is a nice treat…. this is actually the same procedure doing the usual french toast but with an added Hershey’s cocoa… check the recipe below…
5 servings ( 2 bread slices plus 1/2 cup strawberries)
Ingredients:
* 3 large eggs
* 3/4 cup 1% milk
* 3 tablespoons sugar
* 2 tablespoons HERSHEY’S Cocoa
* 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon(optional)
* 10 slices whole wheat bread
* 2-1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
* 10 teaspoons soft margarine (contains no partially hydrogenated oil)
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, salt and cinnamon, if desired, in large bowl until smooth.
2. Heat griddle or skillet over medium-low heat. Grease griddle with margarine, if necessary.
3. Dip bread in egg mixture. Place on griddle. Cook about 2 to 4 minutes on each side. Serve immediately with 1 teaspoon soft margarine per slice.
Enjoy!
