Nigata & Hokuriku Fair

Supposedly this should have been posted last week but forgot haha… hence a delayed post, :D … Anyway, we were at Times Square last Oct 31, 2009, the Halloween night but not for the purpose of joining any Halloween activities but went to City Super to buy some veggies and fruits. And very timely because there was Niigata & Hokuriku Fair displaying various food items from Japan. Here some shots I’ve taken using my phone:

seafood beans
Yukihikari miso sweet potato

There were food taste test so we’re able to try some of the foodies. But what’s interesting to us was the Yukihikari Miso. We bought $10 worth of that plus the herbs that go with it ( I don’t know the name, hahaha)

The Fair started last October 30 and will end on November 18. So we still have few days to go back and I want to try Hokuriku Seikaor crackers (Kintoki Sweet Potato / Onion / Purple Sweet Potato / White Shrimp) plus the Blue Soybean Tofu… looks interesting, haha…

I have not been to Niigata & Hokuriku Fair before but it seems worth a visit. Have been to Bon Odori festival and they did offer various food. I just simply love sweet potatoes.
