PostHeaderIcon Pretty Cupcake tower

I was browsing on these skateboard ramps before I found this beautiful cupcake tower…. One word I can say: prettiness!!! :)

cupcake tower

I saved the photo on my pc for inspiration. As I look at it, it’s simple and seems like easy to do. Well for the cupcake part I guess it’s easy since I’m doing that already but for the design, might take a little while to finish. I love how everything has been put up here especially the colors… A beautiful cupcake tower for little girl, isn’t? I’m sure my sister will like this for her daughter, LOL! The colors are even her favorite… Hopefully I can do this… I know I can… (that’s the spirit! LOL! ) :D

PostHeaderIcon Doughnuts and Coffee Cupcakes

The moment I saw this yummy goodness, I want to try it at once especially it mentioned “coffee”, which I love! But at the same time, I’m thinking of my diet, LOL! Looks like I’ll be needing one of these treadmills aside from the elliptical bike we have at home for easy burning of sweet intakes…. :D

Honestly I’m drooling on this sweets…. And yes I would like to try baking it..

PostHeaderIcon School Time

One week to go and it’s school opening once again. I’m sure most of the kids are excited to go back to school just like my little boy here. And for mommy like me, it will be another time adjustment especially if there’s a new schedule for your students. And speaking of school, I’m planning to continue the baking class I’m eyeing for quite a long time already. I guess this time the schedule will work fit with my son’s new time, which is in the afternoon. Though I haven’t check yet if the baking class changes their time. I’ll work on it soon otherwise I have to find another school for that. I hope it’s easy to look for one just like finding a beauty school. Yeah, if you’re into cosmetology course there’s an online site where you could easily find a perfect school within your area. Like cosmetology schools in kansas, which list down all accredited beauty schools within that place. Information is also provided so it’s easy to contact and do your inquiries… Well, I’m hoping I could find an online place just like that for baking class. Goodluck to me… :)

Food Friday

This has been part of our menu almost every week, LOL!
It’s the husband who cooked this one and I just LOVE it…. And instead of fish, we use shrimps to mix with the veggies…

A closer look :)

Though sometimes so hard to look for saluyot here in Hong Kong. They don’t have it at the wet market. So we always check at this supermarket – City Super, which sells almost international food stuff… :) and yes it costs expensive when I convert it to peso, hahaha!

Thanks for looking! Happy Wekeend to all!

PostHeaderIcon Late Snack at McCafe

I’m sure as soon as my Mom and sisters read this post, they will advise me to look for the best diet supplements as I eat too much sweets lately, LOL!

Well, after our lunch yesterday I suddenly craved for cheesecake. But since I’m quite lazy to go down, :D I sent a message thru YM to hubby and told him to bring blueberry cheesecake as soon as he gets home from office. Night came, no cheesecake but the husband didn’t forget it. He intentionally not to buy but instead we went out after our dinner and have the blueberry cheesecake at the nearby McCafe… :) …. just plain sweet, LOL!

Ok so here’s a quick shot I have…
mccafe blueberry cheesecake and mango shake
Sorry for blurred shot. Just took this using my phone…

I’m planning to have coffee but I’m afraid I might not be able to get my good sleep so I opted to have a mango shake instead…

… yes it was really good! And truly satisfied my cravings.

PostHeaderIcon Pretty Plates

Apart from searching topics and reading articles about the mortgage life insurance, I was busy also looking nice and cute stuff over at Etsy. I browsed different styles and designs of plates that look interesting. Mostly are hand drawn designs and there are personalized too. They’re really fun to look at… here are some of them that caught my attention:

cupcake stay eat cake home decor plate chrysanthemum square plate Cake serving dish with eiffel tower
washington state plate chicken on swirls - glass plate glass square dinnerware
hand painted cherry blossom plate handmade cake plate rustic plate rack

I enjoyed looking each of them… if I have those plates, most likely it will be for display only. Well, not bad at all huh! It really is a beautiful home decor…. Check more beautiful plates here.

PostHeaderIcon Drink water regularly

If there’s an amazing tool that help our bodies to limit the signs of aging, restore energy to look younger and even reduce weight that would be taking hgh supplement. And one thing I learned that the crucial element in taking this supplement is proper hydration. That allows the supplements to be absorbed correctly and quickly. So it’s important to note to drink water on a regular basis. This is also a self-reminder as I don’t do the recommended eight glasses of water every day.

PostHeaderIcon Misua with Bola Bola (Wheat Noodles with Pork Balls)

It’s been a while since I shared a recipe here. So before I proceed to check on this custom software, let me share this home cooked food, which is often present in our household.

Misua soup

For the pork balls, you may follow the procedure I’ve posted here.
Once you have the mixture ready, shape into meatballs, deep fried and set aside.

In a deep saucepan or a casserole, bring water to the boil. Drop in pork balls and simmer over medium heat. Stir in chicken stock cubes. When cubes have dissolved, stir in patola. Simmer for 1 -2 minutes then add the misua. Season with patis. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes (please note that misua cooks very quickly). Serve.

We usually have this as our soup. :)

PostHeaderIcon Foods to prevent Acne

If left untreated acne can be a serious problem and eventually you’re going to spend big amount for treatment and all. So aside from checking the proper acne medication, I tried to search also what food can prevent acne from the inside. I found the following ten foods:

Organic Green Tea – This is rich in an anti-inflammatory chemical called catechins, which helps to combat free radicals and prevent fine lines.
Olive oil – good monounsaturated fats like olive or sesame oil contain essential fatty acids that are needed for good health. Fats are an integral part of cell membranes and will help to nourish the skin and give it an inner glow.
Walnuts – They are rich in omega-3 oils, another powerful antioxidant that helps to keep the skin plump and flexible. Omega-3 oils are also found in oily fish such as salmon, or in flaxseed oil.
Berries – Blueberries, raspberries, cranberries are all rich in phytochemicals that are protective of skin cells. You can’t get the same results though, from frozen or preserved fruit.
Lemon Juice – It’s a natural bleach and can be used to fade sunspots and freckles. Put a slice of lemon over the spot and leave it for 10 minutes everyday for a week, or exfoliate by rubbing a cut lemon and half a teaspoon of granulated sugar over the skin for a few minutes. Be careful not to get any lemon in your eyes and stop immediately if you get a bad reaction as some people have extremely sensitive skin.
Watermelon – Some people believe that rubbing their faces with the rind of a watermelon will give them beautiful skin. There is plenty of truth to this, as the pulp of the fruit is a good exfoliant and watermelon is rich in vitamins A, B and C. The fruit contains a lot of water which serves to hydrate the skin and the gentle massaging action will stimulate lymphatic drainage.
Low-Fat Dairy Products – One the most important components of skin health is vitamin A. One of the best places to get it is low-fat dairy products. In fact, experts say that the health of our skin cells is dependent on dietary vitamin A.
Whole-Wheat Bread, Cereals and Brazil nuts – Dietary selenium comes from nuts, cereals, meat, fish, and eggs. Brazil nuts are the richest ordinary dietary source. The mineral selenium connects all these foods for healthy skin. Experts say selenium plays a key role in the health of skin cells. Some studies show that even skin damaged by the sun may suffer fewer consequences if selenium levels are high.
Yogurt – Yogurt is a very important natural beauty aid. Apply yogurt on the face every morning. Wash it off after a few minutes with cold water. This will keep the complexion smooth, healthy and fresh. A mixture of yogurt and lemon juice is ideal for softening hands.
Water – While the exact amount you should drink each day varies, no one disputes the role good hydration plays in keeping skin looking healthy and even young. When that hydration comes from pure, clean water – not liquids such as soda or even soup – experts say skin cells rejoice.
