Mixed Berry Tartlets
Got this recipe from one of the flyers we took from City Super at Times Square. Whenever we go to that place, we always checked their free recipe flyers and as of today I’ve got a lot already that needs to compile, LOL! Anyway, let me share and staple this yummy tartlets and let’s see if I can whip a batch soon…
Ingredients: (serving size: 10)
-Sweet pastry 1 quantity
-Ready made custard 1 quantity
-Mixed berries 400g
-Apricot jam 3 tablespoons
-Icing sugar for garnishing
Method:
1.Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the pastry to a thickness of 2mm and use to line ten 8 cm wide tartlet tins. Put the custard in a piping bag and pipe into the tartlet tins. Put the tins on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
2.Cool slightly on a wire rack, and then arrange the berries on top. Melt the jam with 1 teaspoon water, sieve out any lumps and brush over the berries to make them shine.
3.Garnishes with icing sugar.
