Chocolate Mousse
Love chocolates and this one is such a popular treat given on holidays, birthday or for any special occasion. And I’m sure a nice drink too after watching any shows particularly one of those Las Vegas Shows…. But a nice bet for those craving for any sweet indulgence… Another recipe from City Super flyer…

• 70% chocolate 250g
• Whipping cream 1/2 cup
• Milk 25ml
• Caster sugar 1/2 cup
• Salt a dash
• Egg yolks 3 pieces
• Whipped cream, for garnishing
Method:
1. Melt the chocolate slowly in a bowl surrounded with warm water.
2. Beat egg yolks with sugar and salt till it turns to a pale yellow.
3. Heat the whipping cream with the milk till they slightly boil. Cool and mix with the egg yolk mixture.
4. Then, fold the yolk mixture in step 3 into the chocolate mixture. Pour into small cups and refrigerate
them for at least 2 hours.
Family bonding time
The husband filed an office leave for one week and that will be next week…
He informed me this morning to check where we can go or places that I’d like to visit. It will be nice though to have an out of town family vacation but I’m not sure if we have that budget. Otherwise I would recommend going to a nice beautiful place like in Riviera Maya. With the white sand beaches, no wonder lots of people trying to go on that place. Well, hopefully we can plan for that big family getaway next summer. Meanwhile, we’ll just enjoy and bond together for that long week family time. Definitely we’ll be going to the beach and other places around here. Sure it will be fun and memorable!
Coffee sign in the kitchen
While net browsing (including checking on different Las Vegas Show Tickets), I found various kitchen art decoration and was interested with lots of coffee signs. If you know me, I’m such a coffee addict person and I can’t just pass a day without drinking a cup of coffee… that’s actually my morning routine.
So when I found these nice art, I said I want to have this type hanging on my own kitchen wall.. that is if we have our own house soon…

These are just few but there still a lot beautiful signs… check it here.
Silly feet cake stand

I just adore this cupcake idea… too cute! Perfect for those simple birthday celebration or any gathering of friends. Love that silly-feet cake stand because not only for cupcakes but for a round birthday cake too…look at this…

Really nice! I wanted to get one for myself. Haven’t seen it yet on the store where I buy most of Wilton products but hopefully they will have soon.
Allegro Medical
From medical supplies to home items to daily living aids and even nutrition drink such as ensure plus drink, that’s what Allegro Medical offers. This is part of their expansion to serve not only on medical area but include other consumer retail products. So it’s not that hard to look for some baby products or fitness equipment as they have them too. Not to mention the easy navigation of their site, which is arranged by category. Hence you will not be lost and most likely you’re going to love all the items. That’s actually where I found some kitchen stuff that I’m itching to buy…
try checking it out too, it’s worth a visit.
Mixed Berry Tartlets
Got this recipe from one of the flyers we took from City Super at Times Square. Whenever we go to that place, we always checked their free recipe flyers and as of today I’ve got a lot already that needs to compile, LOL! Anyway, let me share and staple this yummy tartlets and let’s see if I can whip a batch soon…
Ingredients: (serving size: 10)
-Sweet pastry 1 quantity
-Ready made custard 1 quantity
-Mixed berries 400g
-Apricot jam 3 tablespoons
-Icing sugar for garnishing
Method:
1.Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out the pastry to a thickness of 2mm and use to line ten 8 cm wide tartlet tins. Put the custard in a piping bag and pipe into the tartlet tins. Put the tins on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
2.Cool slightly on a wire rack, and then arrange the berries on top. Melt the jam with 1 teaspoon water, sieve out any lumps and brush over the berries to make them shine.
3.Garnishes with icing sugar.
He loves soup.

Yes, that’s my son and every time we dine-in to any restaurant he would ask for a soup and not just any soup but the white soup.
It’s actually the cream with mushroom soup and he will pair it with bread. I’ve made that kind of soup at home but I don’t know he doesn’t like the taste, hahahaha!
The photos above were taken during our lunch at Steak house 2 weeks ago. And yes he finished that one bowl of soup,
Online course
Because it’s my son school break, I cannot attend any short course in baking this summer. I found a lot of nice summer courses in cooking and baking but it’s impossible if I have this little kiddo with me 24/7. That gives me a good impression of online college courses, which anyone can attend even you’re at home as long as you have the Internet connection. Such a great idea from Capella University and that caters to anyone as long as interested to pursue education to a higher level. I remember I wanted to take masteral before but didn’t continue due to office schedule conflict. If only I’m aware of online education of Capella during that time, maybe I have taken one of their masters’ degree. Well, I know it’s not too late yet. At least now I have the option. Just need more planning and proper scheduling…
