Everyday cooking has been part of me already and I tell you it’s not that easy to think what food to prepare for my household. So usually I prepare meal plan for the week. I listed down the ingredients needed (except vegetables) then the husband will do the marketing. Last Sunday, I requested him to buy minced pork and I’m going to marinate it ahead and use in one of the meals I am planning to cook. Usually, I make them meatballs then cook it as part of soup or just fry them like what I do here. The later though is much preferable to my son and he called it a crunchy meatballs, hehe…

The procedure I follow is actually taken from the recipe of Shrimp Relleno that we have done before but I adapted the process of doing the mixture only then remove some of the ingredients plus a little twist on the process. :)

So here’s how I do it…

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo ground pork
1/2 cup minced spring onions (but I skipped it this time)
2 tbsp minced onions
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp cornstarch

Process:
1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, spring onions and minced onions
2. Add eggs, mixing well with a wooden spoon, or with clean hands.
3. Season with salt, sugar, pepper, soy sauce and sesame oil.
4. Add cornstarch to bind the mixture.

So here’s my mixture at this point.

If you want to cook them already, chill the mixture first until firm enough to shape.

But since my plan is to store them and cook later on, I divide them like this:

1 container is for one meal… and that makes my cooking life easier. I just have to thaw then shape it to small balls. :) Less preparation time.
