My version of Adobong Kangkong :)
The vinegar and soy sauce combination gives this dish a piquant flavor. The perfect accompaniment for it is a bowl of steaming hot white rice.. Yum!

PostHeaderIcon Taking care of our eyes

Eyes are the most precious possessions for every one. Taking care of our eye area, where some of the most sensitive skin in our body is found, is important to include in our skin care regimen.

A good natural eye cream can help to keep our eyes healthy and sparkling. But how can we find the best eye creams? You may want to read the research and analysis from besteyecreams.org. They reviewed eye creams according to some criteria.

For natural ways, some of the most effective includes:

cucumber
- Using cucumber: Cucumber mainly contains Vitamin A and C, magnesium and calcium, which are very helpful for eyes. You can use cucumber water or thin slices of cucumber to apply on the skin around your eyes, particularly if your skin looks dry in that particular area.
- Milk: Milk is natural and also safe cleanser for the eyes. Take a clean cotton ball and dip in milk. Use this dipped cotton ball to clean your eyes.
- Rose water: Like milk, rose water can be used for cleansing your eyes. It eliminates dirt and harmful pollutants and induces fresh glow to our eyes.

PostHeaderIcon Cleaning up Sink Drain

Since I’m in-charge with the kitchen everyday, I make sure our sink is always clean, free from odors and clogs. I don’t want to experience clogged drains again just like in our previous house. I hate it when the dirt stays on the sink and gives bad odor and eventually have stain…
Anyway, I have few simple steps below that I follow to keep drains odor free and draining properly:

1. Run very hot tap water every few days through the drain.
2. Put a tablespoon of baking soda into the kitchen drain once a week and slowly pour in lemon juice and let it stand for 30 minutes. Then run hot water through the drain to eliminate minor buildups and odors.
3. Consider buying a drain cleaner solution if you have drains you can’t clear out naturally. This is what we use with our problem in our previous house.

Don’t wait until you have a big problem with your sink.
So whether it is a stainless sink or one of those zero radius sinks, cleaning and making them free from unwanted items is a good way to start.
