Crabs in coconut milk

The husband bought couple of crabs yesterday. I didn’t know that. He does the marketing every weekend (usually on a Sunday) and I always told him to buy fish and some meat only. But I was surprised to see some crabs and shrimps… :D …Well, we indulged ourselves into this food from time to time and it was the two of us who will eat, LOL! (Migs don’t like it.. ) Anyway, he’s the man on the kitchen last night. He cooked that crabs. He just asked me to buy squash and coconut milk… :)

Almond Chews

I’m so excited to share this chewy indulgent slice that I have baked last weekend- Almond Chews. The leftover flaked almonds that I have inspired me to bake this yummy goodness. It’s my first time and I can truly say it was successful and great afternoon snack. The husband loves it and I like it too. Good pair for a hot coffee or tea.

Carrot Cupcake

The first time I baked a carrot cake was last Dec 2007 but it didn’t turn out the way I expect them to be. As hubby and I noticed, something missing in the process or a certain ingredient has not been added. Though it got the taste of what’s the carrot cake should be, it didn’t have the moist texture that I like. So I promised I’m going to do it again.

During one of my library visits last week, I took a cookbook that catches my eye due to its photo cover, colorful and very yummy dish. After opening the first page, I learned it’s a McCormick recipe book and as expected there will be McCormick products on the ingredients. It’s fine with me anyway; I do have a lot of McCormick spices on the kitchen. So I browsed it. Since I wanted to do a vegetable dish, I checked immediately that category and there I got the recipe. Easy to cook and prepare…

Stir Fry Vegetables…. Here’s my dish:

PostHeaderIcon Taste Book

Have you heard about this? Oh!, I’m so thrilled upon learning Taste Book. I can make my own cookbook. Upload my own recipes, or save the recipes I found on the net… decorate and I have my own hardcover cookbook… yey! I can even share it to my friends… so great!

I just started creating my own Taste Book, and slowly uploading my favorite recipes. I can put 100 recipes for 1 book so once I reached that or even half I can order it already…

Also, I just thought this is a nice gift for a newly wed, right? Hmmm…. really good. :)

Who doesn’t want fried chicken, LOL! This is one of my sons’ favorite foods, next to Salmon fish. ;) And today because of my busyness at home, (going back and forth doing multi-tasking job, hehe) I need to cook fast and that Miguel would love to eat… Ok, so it was 11am and when I checked our fridge I saw chicken drumsticks that we bought yesterday at supermarket. And *ding*, I’ll cook fried chicken, hehe…

Here’s the way I do it, a Filipino style fried chicken…
